Stefani will discuss developing fast-paced qualitative and quantitative design research techniques within an ever-changing startup environment, as well as using visualizations as a means of communicating intangible experiences.


Stefani is an industrial designer turned design researcher having worked in both corporate and consulting environments, leading numerous research endeavors around personal finance, consumer goods, healthcare, and technology. She is currently a Research Lead at dscout, a startup research platform and consulting service enabling designers and researchers to collect real-world experiences and instant feedback from their users through mobile devices.

Stefani is a practicing freelance sketchnoter, has taught visualization courses at the Institute of Design in Chicago, and visually records conferences and events for organizations such as the IDSA, TEDx’s, and Core77.
