“Makerspaces: Civic Infrastructure in the Digital Age”
Forged from the economic and technological change of the last decade, makerspaces are an emergent kind of public institution that aim to reshape the way we design, work, and educate.

Educated as an architect at Virginia Tech and the Rural Studio, Will Holman has worked as a designer, craftsman, carpenter, educator, and author. Currently, he is a Project Coordinator for the Baltimore Arts Realty Corporation (BARCO), a non-profit development company planning a makerspace to open in central Baltimore in 2016. His first book, Guerilla Furniture Design, is anticipated from Storey Publishing in spring, 2015.
